Yard Worker / Yard Associate
Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Pompano Beach, FL
Work Environment: Outdoor / Equipment Yard
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Yard Worker / Yard Associate to support daily operations in an outdoor equipment yard. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role ideal for someone who enjoys working outside, staying active, and contributing to a safety‑focused team environment.
This position offers opportunities to build technical skills and grow into future roles such as mechanic, driver, or customer service associate.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, clean, and prepare rental equipment before and after use
Load and unload equipment for customers and delivery drivers
Organize equipment in the yard to ensure safe and efficient storage
Perform basic equipment checks (fluids, fuel levels, tire pressure)
Assist customers with locating and securing equipment
Support general labor duties related to yard and equipment operations
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Required Skills
General labor experience
Basic motor, electrical, and mechanical knowledge or aptitude
Ability to safely handle tools and equipment
Strong attention to safety and detail
Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs and handling heavy equipment
Mechanical or technical aptitude preferred
Previous experience in construction, equipment rental, warehouse, or yard work is a plus
Valid driver’s license preferred (may be required depending on assignment)

Work Environment
This role is based in a shop environment without air conditioning. Steel toe boots are required, and candidates must have their own tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
