Description
Systems Administrator
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our technology team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing servers, supporting infrastructure, and solving complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid foundation in system administration with room to grow into more advanced responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments including patching, updates, and performance monitoring
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file shares, and permission structures
Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V, including VM creation, tuning, and maintenance
Oversee backup operations, disaster recovery testing, and storage systems
Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects
Monitor server health, performance metrics, and resource utilization
Troubleshoot server failures, authentication issues, and network-related system problems
Maintain accurate documentation including configurations, diagrams, and SOPs
Collaborate with network, help desk, and security teams to resolve escalated support issues
Ensure systems comply with organizational security policies and standards

3–5 years of hands-on systems administration experience
Strong proficiency with Windows Server and/or Linux distributions
Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services
Hands-on virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms)
Understanding of storage systems (SAN/NAS), RAID, snapshots, and failover clustering
Experience with scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash) for automation
Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Datto, etc.)
Knowledge of server monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate with IT teams
Relevant certifications (MCSA, MCSE, VMware, Linux+) are a plus
