Position Overview:
Dayton-Granger, Inc. We're looking for a detail-oriented Paint Touch Up & Electromechanical Assembler to join our team full-time! This role combines small-part assembly, light soldering, adhesive bonding, and fine paint touch-up to ensure our products meet both functional and cosmetic aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and solder small electrical components according to work instructions and technical drawings
Mix, apply, and cure epoxies and adhesives using taping, fixturing, and oven processes
Remove masking materials and perform detailed paint touch-up to correct surface defects, ensuring parts meet cosmetic and workmanship standards prior to quality inspection
Visually inspect finished parts for color consistency, surface quality, and detail accuracy
Operate hand tools, soldering irons, and basic measuring/testing equipment
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and quality procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Comply with all DG safety procedures and policies as directed by the Facility Engineer/Safety Director
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Minimum 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing setting
Minimum 1 year of hands-on soldering experience with small, detailed components
Experience performing fine paint touch-up or cosmetic surface finishing on parts
Experience working with adhesives, epoxies, or bonding materials
Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions
Basic computer skills
Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
High attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints
Preferred but not required:
Background in aerospace or electronic component manufacturing
