Insight Global Construction Project Manager in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee mid- to large-scale commercial construction projects throughout the Fort Lauderdale area. This role is responsible for leading one or more large, complex construction-phase projects while managing project teams and subcontractors across a diverse portfolio of institutional clients, including higher education, K–12 school districts, municipalities, and healthcare systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Review construction documents, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and constructability
Develop project-specific General Conditions and establish baseline schedules for subcontractors and self-performed work
Track project budgets, manage costs, and oversee all change management activities
Process RFIs, change orders, and owner pay applications
Review and manage shop drawings and submittals
Prepare and execute subcontracts and purchase orders
Coordinate and lead regular jobsite and subcontractor meetings
Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle

Skills and Requirements
3+ years as a Project Manager in commercial construction
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field)
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and scheduling
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
Experience with CMAR and/or Design‑Build delivery
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to relocate to or live near Fort Lauderdale
Valid driver’s license required
