Position Overview
The Project Engineer / Project Coordinator supports project managers, field teams, and estimators in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This entry‑level role is ideal for candidates with trade school or technical training who want to build a career in project management, estimating, or construction operations. You’ll assist with project documentation, quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, scheduling, and field coordination while learning the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination between field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Support the estimating team with quantity takeoffs, material counts, and bid preparation.
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and maintain RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and daily logs.
Track project progress, deliveries, and cost updates to support project reporting.
Help maintain project documentation, including drawings, logs, and closeout materials.
Coordinate with field staff to resolve issues and support project execution.
Participate in site walks, inspections, and quality control activities.
Assist with procurement of materials and equipment.
Learn and apply construction management software and digital tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Trade school certificate, associate degree, or technical training in construction, engineering, drafting, or a related field.
Strong understanding of construction fundamentals, either through coursework or hands‑on experience.
Basic knowledge of reading blueprints and construction documents.
Familiarity with estimating concepts or willingness to learn.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to CAD, Bluebeam, or estimating software is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the company.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
Internship or field experience in construction, engineering, or estimating.
Experience with takeoff software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, On‑Screen Takeoff).
Exposure to project management platforms (Procore, Buildertrend, Autodesk Construction Cloud).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
Offer Medical - 80% company paid 401K bonuses - monthly and annually
