Job Title: 12v Electrician Job Description
The 12v Electrician is responsible for routing wires for fire apparatus equipment by following wire diagrams and other technical drawings. This role involves connecting lights, hose reels, and other accessories to the electrical box and fabricating boxes, mounts, and other necessary equipment according to the blueprint. The position requires effective communication with fabricators for complete installation and the fabrication of wire harnesses as needed. The 12v Electrician utilizes basic hand tools to achieve objectives and performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet company needs.
Responsibilities
Route wires for fire apparatus equipment following wire diagrams and technical drawings.
Connect lights, hose reels, and other accessories to the electrical box.
Fabricate boxes, mounts, and other necessary equipment according to the blueprint.
Communicate with fabricators for complete installation.
Fabricate wire harnesses as needed.
Utilize basic hand tools to achieve objectives.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management.
Essential Skills
Experience with low voltage electrical systems.
Knowledge of electrical assembly, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Strong communication skills for teamwork with fabricators, engineers, and other assemblers.

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled facility with team-based settings, where multiple team members collaborate on the same truck. The position operates on the 1st shift from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, with mandatory overtime on Fridays if necessary. Employees can expect to work 45-50 hours per week. Tools are provided, and exceptions for events or vacations can be communicated with leads, though recurring weekend events may not be feasible.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
