Required Shift:
12 hour 2-2-3 Rotating Shift
D Shift
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday
Job Purpose:
The Sr. Sheeting Operator is responsible for ensuring that gum meets the specifications (length, width, thickness and weight) and quality expectations.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Must have met time in role (12+ Months)
Must have line manager approval to apply
Must be in good standing in current role
2+ years of experience operating high speed machinery and/or equipment in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
Mechanical aptitude to understand and solve machine operations
Understanding of computer systems (Ex: MS Office, inventory systems, SAP, etc)
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree or certifications
1+ years Sheeting Experience
3+ years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
Ability to keep accurate inventory records.
Strong understanding of all GMP’s, PPE’s and quality checks
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Sr. Sheeting Operator:
Performs quality assurance checks, documentation, place trays on the line, change materials/product, machine change overs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, clean machine jams and adjusts the machine to minimize downtime and promote productivity.
Must have extensive knowledge of the composition of gum and be an expert in the manufacturing process to ensure quality and consistency.
Without guidance, the Sr. Sheeting Operator troubleshoots mechanical breakdowns and short-stops, cleans machine jams and adjusts the machine to minimize downtime and promote productivity.
Responsible for performing a wide range of semi-skilled and unskilled jobs in the Processing Department.
Operate a forklift to move skids of gum from the up stacker to the cooling tunnels.
Responsible for meeting production requirements daily.
Cleaning, sweeping, inspection, lubrication and reporting abnormalities, etc.
Responsible for the use of proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and meeting all safety guidelines.
May be required to provide backup coverage for the Sr. Sheeting Operator when needed.
