Job Title: 2pm Put Away Associate

Job Description

This role supports daily warehouse operations by accurately receiving, storing, organizing, and preparing merchandise for internal distribution and customer orders. Working under direct supervision, the position focuses on safely handling materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and using warehouse systems to ensure efficient product flow throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Generate manifests for dispatch and confirm customer and stock orders in the warehouse system.

  • Interpret warehouse documents to identify items that need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

  • Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage locations.

  • Verify merchandise documentation and record incoming merchandise by part number and quantity.

  • Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins according to a predetermined sequence.

  • Prepare products for distribution within the facility in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping.

  • Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products under direct supervision and within set procedures.

  • Arrange stock parts in specified sequences for assembly by other workers.

  • Create and enter manifest records accurately into the warehouse computer system.

  • Use RF scanners and other warehouse tools as directed to complete picking, packing, shipping, and stocking tasks.

  • Follow all safety and operational procedures while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.

  • 0–6 months of warehouse experience preferred, including exposure to material handling, picking, packing, shipping, and stocking.

  • Ability to use or learn RF scanners for inventory and order processing.

  • Basic computer skills to create and enter records into a warehouse system.

  • Ability to interpret warehouse documents and follow detailed instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail for verifying part numbers, quantities, and documentation.

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with moving equipment.

  • Reliability and willingness to work under direct supervision and follow established guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • No prior certification required; eligibility for certification on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire.

  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience is an advantage but not required.

  • Comfort working around forklifts, hand carts, and other material handling equipment.

  • Willingness to learn warehouse processes, systems, and equipment.

  • Ability to organize merchandise in a logical sequence to support efficient assembly and order fulfillment.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced warehouse with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move rapidly in clearly defined, safety-conscious directions. The facility is a non-climate-controlled environment, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Work involves frequent movement throughout the warehouse, handling cartons, and using RF scanners and computer systems. Cellphones and personal electronics are not permitted in the warehouse to maintain focus and safety. Closed-toe shoes are required at all times while on the warehouse floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
