Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President / General Manager, the Office Manager is responsible for oversight of the administrative functions of the office including accounting and general office administrative duties. This position will ensure efficient operation of daily processes and drive process improvements in all functional areas. This position will work closely with Operations Managers, Sales Managers and Construction Managers and acts as a liaison with the Corporate and Regional office personnel.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead, manage, and develop back-office operations and employees while fostering a collaborative culture and serving as a resource to all functional areas
Partner with managers and operations leaders to monitor operating results versus budget and prior performance, including cost tracking and analysis to support cost control
Ensure timely and accurate month-end operations, closing activities, and financial reporting, including raw material consumption and inventory reporting
Collaborate closely with Regional Finance and Shared Services accounting teams to ensure efficient, compliant financial processes, reporting, and information requests
Perform special studies, analyses, and reporting at the request of managers to support business decisions
Oversee office administrative functions and proactively support employee health and safety to continuously improve safety performance
What Are We Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business or analytical field required
5 years of analysis and reporting required; 7-10 years preferred
Ability to support analysis and reporting activities, with an understanding of cost drivers and operational performance (building materials industry knowledge preferred)
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with SAP ERP and BI reporting tools is a plus
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, present information effectively, and collaborate across multiple departments
Proven capability to meet deadlines, think critically, analyze complex information, and work successfully as part of a team
Work Environment This role is based in a professional office setting within an operational site. The Office Manager works closely with salaried and hourly team members, supporting both administrative and operational functions in a fast-paced environment.
