Job Description Summary
The Conversion Manager is responsible for the daily activities required to run, maintain, and service the facility and/or the events by performing the following duties personally or through delegation to stagehands and conversion hands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create, plan, and implement all normal and necessary quality control documents.
Assist in supervising and scheduling all aspects of operations staff, including house staff and temporary labor, ensuring all tasks are completed to a satisfactory and effectively timely standard.
Serve as the lead person responsible for conversions on set-ups and changeovers.
Meet with clients and vendors on behalf of the organization and communicate needs on their behalf as needed.
Work during events and respond promptly to both scheduled and unexpected physical modifications or setup changes required for the event.
Implement facility rules, regulation policies and procedures.
Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions. Investigate, analyze, and resolve operational problems and complaints.
Provide clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to your staff and all departments.
Preparing and adhering to event and department budgets set by the director
Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage or loss of property or any other safety concerns to the manager
Assure facility readiness and smooth operation of events.
Serve as Manager on Duty as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all conversions and Operations Staff, working with changeover, production, audiovisual, and technical services as needed. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; disciplining employees in conjunction with your manager and Human Resources; addressing complaints and conflict resolution.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and four (4) years related experience and/or training in the public assembly industry in a supervisory or management position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mechanical skills, with working experience in an arena, convention center, or stadium strongly preferred.
Experience with OSHA requirements, safety regulations, and emergency response protocols.
Forklift, scissor lift experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other heavy equipment or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months.
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in event setups, work orders, and team assignments.
Ability to think, work, and operate independently
Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem solving skills including but not limited to conflict resolution , troubleshooting technical and facility services, and emergency response
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact at all levels of staffing, including management.
Ability to effectively supervise staff.
Strong customer service skills
Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
Computer Skills
To perform the job successfully, the individual should have some computer skills with Word and Excel, with the ability to maintain records and generate reports. Ability to work in AutoCAD is preferred.
Other Qualifications
Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
Be licensed and insured to operation a motor vehicle in the United States.
Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
Must pass corporate background check.
