Essential Functions: Consistently provides superior professional service to internal and external customers. Consistently meet expectations of teamwork, punctuality and regular, reliable attendance. Prepares objective, written analyses of the Bank\'s commercial and real estate loans to be used by lending officers and senior management in the loan decision making process. Demonstrates a solid ability to recognize and assess pertinent risks and identifies the impact of non-financial and external factors, which range from general economic issues to industry and management issues, may have on the borrower\'s ability to meet its obligations. Analyzes financial statements and cash flows in order to determine profitability, capital adequacy, liquidity, asset quality, and the ability to repay existing and proposed obligations. Accurately spreads financial statements, prepares, and maintains financial spreadsheets using department software. Performs personal cash flow analysis and personal financial statement analysis on individuals in order to determine liquidity, availability, and total liability. Remains current on all Bank credit policies and existing laws and regulations, verifying conformity and noting exceptions in existing and prospective credit relationships. Gathers and assimilates appropriate data for each credit analysis and determines the need to request additional information. To complete work assignments on a timely basis, meeting applicable deadlines and working independently. Identifies potential or developing problems within the loan portfolio and recommend risk rating adjustments. Reviews commercial real estate appraisals for accuracy and confirms/accepts values. Prepares adversely classified loan memorandums for troubled borrowers outlining Bank risk and action plan. Performs annual credit reviews of Bank\'s largest borrowers to access on-going risk and repayment ability. Other Responsibilities: Assumes additional responsibilities, as requested. Education, Experience, and Skills Required: A bachelor\'s degree or the equivalent work-related experience in business, finance, or accounting in order to be able to analyze financial statements and to make industry evaluations. A high level of analytical ability and detail orientation to determine the loan risk involved and recommend credit limitation and structure. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A minimum of one year of prior credit experience in a banking environment. Strong PC knowledge.
