As a Data Center Technician I, you will be part of the Reverse Logistics Operations supporting the handling, testing, and maintenance of electronic equipment. Job Description:
Client is an electronics processing, reuse, and recycling company focused on extending the useful life of electronic equipment through secure reuse, repair, and environmentally responsible recycling. The client is a stand‑alone company within the last cloud computing corporate family, supporting other Amazon businesses—primarily data centers—through best‑in‑class reverse logistics and IT asset disposition (ITAD) services.
We are seeking a Reverse Logistics Technician to join our Florence, KY operation. This is a hands‑on role supporting our mission to safely manage used electronic and IT equipment while maintaining the highest standards of security, safety, accuracy, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support all aspects of reverse logistics operations, including:
Receive incoming electronic equipment and parts according to documented procedures
Accurately maintain inventory and track all materials entering and exiting the facility
Load and unload shipments, and transport materials within the facility
Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), such as forklifts or pallet jacks (training provided if needed)
Disassemble and de‑manufacture electronic equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Identify appropriate testing, processing, or recycling workflows for various components
Perform frequent lifting and physical material handling
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
Follow strict safety, security, and data protection requirements
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in one or more of the following environments:
Warehouse operations
Reverse logistics or returns processing
Manufacturing or de‑manufacturing
IT asset handling or electronics processing
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
Commitment to safety and workplace cleanliness
Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling electronic or IT equipment
Familiarity with inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS)
PIT / forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
Experience working in a regulated or security‑sensitive environment
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Ability to lift and move equipment and materials with or without assistance
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
