Apply now!\ \ The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an accountant to join our team as an Accounting Specialist Supervisor. This position supervises, trains, and is responsible for the security and inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods for several ACI industrial/manufacturing facilities, to include Wood fabrication, Upholstery, Metal Fabrication, License Plates, Clothing, Bedding, and Commodity Products. Job Duties:

- Analyzes inventory balances for all ACI Florence activities\ - Supervises, coaches, and gives direction to assigned staff and inmates\ - Reviews and reconciles facilities production inventories\ - Incorporate reports used in facilitating reconciliations\ - Conducts on-site audits\ - Coordinates and supervises year-end inventories\ - Maintenance of hazardous materials inventories\ - Attends meetings and trainings\ - Coordinates, trains, and supervises staff and inmates on warehouse and accounting functions\ - Drives on State business\ - Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:\ - Generally accepted accounting principles\ - Financial data preparation and inventory controls\ - Basic manufacturing processes and ACI products\ - Project and time management\ - Organization\ - Computers and associated software, including EPICOR, Microsoft Office, and Google suites\ - Office equipment\ - Hazardous material requirements, security, and inventory\ - Security awareness of contraband infiltration into a secure facility\ \ Skill in:\ - Analysis and interpretation of inventory data\ - Financial data software\ - Report writing\ - Auditing\ - Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships\ - Written and verbal communications\ - Accounting procedures\ - Weighing, measuring, and inventory control\ - Supervision and leadership\ - Attention to detail\ \ Ability to:\ - Calculate, analyze, reconcile, and summarize quantitative data\ - Apply accounting, mathematical, and systems concepts to situations encountered in the workplace\ - Understand complex scheduling needs and inventory issues\ - Manage projects and meet established time frames\ - Work independently with little to no supervision\ - Lead/supervise assigned staff and inmate workers\ - Work in a prison environment\ - Learn and adhere to agency policies, procedures, personnel rules, and state and Federal laws

Selective Preference(s):

- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Management\ - 12 Semester hours in accounting courses and/or at least three (3) years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing and inventory environment with supervisory responsibilities

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.\ \ If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate drivers license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).\ \ In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
