Job Summary
We have a newly created position for a Senior Facilities Technician on our team! This person will preserve our facility, production equipment, and tooling by performing a variety of facility and maintenance tasks including painting, flooring installations, and equipment and tool preventative maintenance service or repairs.
Job Responsibilities
Set up, maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within the facility within area of expertise
Follow maintenance schedule to ensure regular and preventive maintenance work assignments are completed as required
Perform service calls, repairs, and equipment installations as directed
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations, and routine inspections on physical plant systems and equipment as required
Maintain an inventory of parts and tools, and keep assigned storage areas clean and organized
Follow company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in daily work routines and assignments
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Complete appropriate paperwork in a proper manner for the purchase, stocking, and/or use of all materials, parts, and components required for work order completion
Ensure work orders contain appropriate and accurate information before submitting completed work orders
Complete and maintain state licensing for the following:
Forklift
Scissor and Boom Lift
Crane and rigging
May recommend cost savings strategies and techniques that will not compromise quality and individual safety
Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Additional Responsibilities
General Facilities Requirements:
Painting
Flooring
Movement of office furniture including cubicles
Working along with facilities support vendors
Service Café areas
Clear drains
Facilities Maintenance Requirements:
Use of hand tools and testing instruments
Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits
Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems
Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts
Monitor HVAC systems and operations and ensures that routine preventative maintenance is performed according to established schedules
Check, repair and/or replace functional components of the system
Inspect and monitor plant fans and radiant heaters. Perform PM work according to schedule
Industrial Maintenance Requirements:
Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
Working knowledge of system maintenance
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
Qualifications
High school or trade school diploma (or equivalent); with a minimum of 4+ years of related experience (see requirement lists below)
Working knowledge of building codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures
Moderate knowledge of building maintenance
Good oral and written communication skills
Valid drivers license with clean driving record required
US citizenship required
U.S. Citizenship required.
The salary range for this position is $26.24-$37.52 per hour. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
