*How You'll Make an Impact: *
Calibration Technician must be able to maintain a clean, safe, and controlled work environment and interface effectively with fellow employees, customers, and suppliers. Daily activities include responding to calibration due notices in a timely manner, performing in-house gauge calibration, managing the outsourcing of gauge calibration as needed, and managing customer owned gauges
What you'll be doing as a Calibration Technician:
Working a full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.Calibrate and/or arrange for the Calibration of Mechanical tools (gauges, micrometers, calipers, & inspection fixtures) throughout the facility.Maintain calibration management system. Complete all regularly scheduled assignments and/or clearly defined verbal directives, in a timely manner.Test and calibrate measuring instruments to maintain functionality and accuracy traceable to N.I.S.T. Perform routine calibration tasks using only prescribed procedures, work instructions, and/or applicable ISO requirements for measurement processes and measuring equipment.Maintain outside calibration certification filesPerforms other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):
Minimum 3 years experience in instrumentation calibration industry, with experience in testing and calibration of measuring instruments and in maintaining their functionality and accuracy. Must be able to interpret and apply applicable ISO, AS9100, and QMS requirements as they relate to calibration.Familiarity with various precision measuring devices & excellent mechanical ability.Knowledge of calibration systems, gage tracking, and tool life management.
Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):
Background in aerospace, precision machining, or high-mix/low-volume production.Experience with MRP/ERP platforms (e.g., JobBOSS, Epicor, or similar).Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S tool room practices.Technical certification in manufacturing technology, machining, or industrial maintenance.* *

The Calibration Technician Compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $30 -- $45 per hour commensurate with experience
