Job Title: Shift Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations on our production floor. This role involves ensuring safety compliance, optimizing workflow, and maintaining production efficiency. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a critical role in mentoring and evaluating team members, as well as collaborating with various departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily operations on the production floor.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor production processes and address any issues that arise.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Maintain production machines and work with maintenance on upkeep of equipment.
Perform any other duties as needed.
Essential Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints (preferred).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary.
Ability to troubleshoot and multitask.
Basic mathematics skills.
Reliable and trustworthy team player.
Verbal and written communication skills in English.
Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Technical degree or certification (preferred).
Experience as a production shift/team lead (required).
Experience with 5s (preferred).
Over 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment as a supervisor (required).
Experience as a machine mechanic (required).
Some electrical experience (preferred).
Overhead crane experience (required).
Quality control experience (preferred).
Forklift experience (required).

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fernley, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.35 - $36.35/hr.
