Job Title: Chemist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemist to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct laboratory work in compliance with permit requirements and environmental health and safety standards. This role involves testing compounds and samples, performing quality assurance and quality control, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
Responsibilities
Collect and test compounds and samples following permit requirements using applied methods and techniques.
Enter quantities, volumes, and analytical results into waste management software.
Perform QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by permit and follow all approved Laboratory SOPs.
Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in GMP and analytical chemistry.
Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with inventory control for lab reagents.
Ability to maintain samples and instruments and perform data entry.
Familiarity with analytical equipment usage and associated filing and administrative activities.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fernley, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
