MT Shoebox LLC Full-Charge Bookkeeper in Ferndale, Washington
Overview: MT Shoebox is a bookkeeping firm looking for an experienced, collaborative and client-focused, bilingual full-charge bookkeeper to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our clients.
* Responsibilities:*
- Record financial transactions following GAAP principles.
- Document transaction details.
- Process payroll and manage applicable tax reporting.
- File state and local taxes efficiently.
- Reconcile bank/credit card accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain historical records by filing documents electronically and physically.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements; advise management on necessary actions.
- Support team efforts by contributing to and accomplishing related results.
- Communicate professionally with clients and staff, both verbally and in writing.
- Answer phones and manage inquiries.
- Promptly notify senior staff of any errors or issues
- Perform additional duties as directed or assigned.
* Skills and Qualifications:*
- Bilingual (Fluent in Spanish & English)
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a predominantly paper-free environment.
- Capability to prioritize projects, follow up effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Familiarity with programs such as PayPal, Square, Stripe, TaxJar, etc.
- Ability to manage and adapt to multiple clients' needs.
- High level of confidentiality and ethics.
- Must be smoke-free and fragrance-free (no perfume, cologne, etc.).
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds
