Hours: 48 hours/week, Mon.-Fri. 9 hours/day, Sat. 3 hours/day, 7:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors.

Work will be performed at locations in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Job Duties: Operate and service agricultural equipment, including combines, tractors, sprayers, balers, planters, and other mechanized farm machinery. Operate self-propelled custom Class harvesting equipment to harvest a variety of grain and oilseed crops. Adjust the speed of cutters, blowers, and conveyors, and set the height of cutting heads using hand tools. Change cutting heads as required for different crops and prepare equipment for transport. Service machinery and perform in-field repairs as needed. Operate four-wheel-drive tractors to pull tillage and other farm implements.

Drive and operate tractors, planters, balers, and additional mechanized equipment in a diversified farming operation. Use farm equipment to cut, pull, dig, thresh, clean, chop, bag, or bundle harvested crops. Load and unload harvested crops, commodities, and materials manually or using mechanized equipment such as conveyors, hand trucks, or other material-handling equipment.

Crops/Commodities: corn, soybeans, small grains.

Work is to be done in the field for long periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, insect spray, related chemicals, etc. may affect workers' ability to perform the job.

Worker must be available and willing to work the entire season.

Worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.

The employer maintains a drug-free workplace policy that includes pre-employment testing and employer-paid post-employment testing, including random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing. These policies are applied uniformly to all employees, both foreign and domestic. Drug testing is not required as part of the interview process; however, any worker who fails a required drug test will be subject to termination.

Minimum Education Required

No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

This position requires a minimum of six (6) months of verifiable prior experience operating and servicing agricultural equipment, including combines, tractors, sprayers, and balers.

Worker must be able to obtain a valid driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire and maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to sixty (60) pounds.

Worker must be able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.

Additional Compensation

Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure.

As required for all workers in Minnesota only, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
