Electrical Service Manager | Rolls Mechanical | Fenton, MI | $100-120K/Year + Incentives
Position Overview
Rolls Mechanical is seeking a driven and experienced Electrical Service Manager to lead, develop, and grow our Electrical Service division. This role is responsible for overseeing daily service operations, managing technicians and dispatch, driving revenue, ensuring customer satisfaction, and building a high-performing team.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands the commercial electrical service industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to balance people, performance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of commercial electrical service technicians and support staff
- Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards
- Conduct team building activities, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
- Foster a strong culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day service operations including scheduling, dispatch, and job execution
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Collaborate with dispatch to maximize technician productivity and utilization
- Monitor and manage workflow to meet customer demands and deadlines
Financial Performance
- Own and drive service department revenue, profitability, and growth
- Review job costing, labor efficiency, and material usage
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency
- Assist in pricing strategies and service rate development
Customer Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients
- Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure resolution
- Partner with customers to identify additional service opportunities
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
Business Development
- Support growth initiatives by identifying new service opportunities
- Work closely with estimating and sales teams to expand service offerings
- Develop and maintain key accounts and long-term service agreements
Compliance & Safety
- Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Ensure technicians are properly trained, certified, and compliant
- Promote a safety-first culture across all service operations
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial electrical service
- 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and service work
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance
- Experience with scheduling, dispatching, and service management systems
- Strong financial acumen (job costing, budgeting, KPIs)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
