Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Data Center Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Fayetteville, GA
Duration: 18 Months on W2
Pay Range: $38 - $41/hour + Benefits & PTO
M-F 8-5p
What's the Job?
Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of hardware components such as racks, hard drives, and switches according to detailed instructions and protocols.
Conduct post-execution quality checks, ensuring proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in compliance with safety standards and deployment guidelines.
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifying issues and replacing faulty components to maintain optimal system performance.
Decommission hardware for simple upgrades or refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, with minimal supervision.
Communicate, report, and escalate incidents effectively to the Data Center Technician Leads, ensuring smooth operations and issue resolution.
What's Needed?
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and related components.
At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
