Corewell Health Supervisor Central Processing in Farmington Hills, Michigan
Job Summary
Responsible for direct supervision of Central Processing Technicians. Responsible for resolution of any operational problems, as well as to maintain the department policies and procedures. Implement new procedures and coordinate in services in conjunction with the Administrative Manager, OR/CPD Educators and Surgical Materials Managers.
Essential Functions
Plan, organize and direct the day-to-day work of subordinates and assist in management of daily departmental operations.
Respond to and resolve majority of the front-line operational problems.
Coordinate inservices, meetings, training and orientation of new personnel in conjunction with the CPD educator, manager and surgical materials manager.
Maintain discipline and corrective actions, as warranted.
Assist in interviewing candidates for position openings and make hiring recommendations.
Develop new procedures and update current ones.
Accumulate QI statistics and report to manager.
Demonstrates the delivery of excellent customer service by exhibiting the hospital’s ten customer service behaviors in every aspect of the job (100%).
Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred One to two years of college.
5 years of relevant experience Five years’ experience as a Central Processing Tech required. Computer experience required. One year of management experience required. Required
6 months of relevant experience Knowledge of surgical equipment. Required
CRT-Registered Central Services Technician, Certified (CRCST) - HSPA Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Upon Hire required
