Lead the team to develop Premium Grade and other audio systems for automobiles, including specifications and sound quality tuning.  Create and design, through team oriented research and development, innovative system solutions comprising signal processing, audio and acoustic control algorithms, amplifiers, microphone processing and speaker systems.  Manage assigned projects as a leader, and promote and contribute to other related projects as a member in a multi-disciplinary environment. Collaborate with the Customer project teams to plan and execute both new and updated advanced automotive audio systems, employing state-of-the-art loudspeakers, signal processing, microphone processing and amplifiers. Accomplish necessary audio system tuning and testing, both in-house and at customer, analyze data appropriately, and apply results towards the design of high performance audio systems. Manage DSP s/w engineers with new signal processor implementations through MATLAB programming and use, operate DSP and other s/w interfaces and document software modifications and parameter lists as required. Direct and coordinate building of demonstration vehicles and systems. Lead benchmarking and competitive analysis processes and supporting development of, both objective and subjective data acquisition and reporting processes. Use computer assisted engineering and test software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks. Identify new technologies and concepts for use in automotive products and recommend the technology portfolio roadmap and pipeline for assigned technical areas. Interface with customers to develop product solutions and discuss market and technology roadmaps in partnership with sales, marketing, program management and product planning. Provide technical guidance and mentoring for Associate Engineer, Engineer, and Senior Engineers on the technologies involved in signal processing, audio and acoustic control algorithms, amplifiers, microphone processing and speaker systems.

HOURS: 40 hours per week (9 am to 6 pm)

SALARY: $133,557/year

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related degree discipline followed by eight (8) years of progressive experience in the specialty field
