This role can be based in Chicago, IL, Des Moines, IA, Houston, TX, Omaha, NE, or St. Paul, MN. This is an exciting opportunity for an early to mid-career professional seeking new opportunities and challenges working with public and private clients. nnProjects envisioned for the employee filling this role include solid waste planning, landfill design, stormwater design, anaerobic digestion, compost systems, and specification development and review, leading client conversations, training staff or serve as field construction monitor, regulatory reporting and permitting, cost estimate development, and many appurtenant tasks that arise from these projects. This is a role leading to increased responsibility over time including technical and client relationship development. Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment. nnWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: nn[Below is the list of responsibilities pulled over from job profile associated with GCA; delete those bullet points that re not relevant]nn * Contract Management: Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan. n * Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them. n * Engineering Standards Specification: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards. n * Knowledge Management System: Helping others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice. n * Engineering Inspections: Carry out inspections independently or under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements. n * Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems. n * Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats.
