Kelly Services is hiring a Sheet Metal Fabrication Supervisor (2nd Shift) in Farmington, CT!
If you’re a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on driving safety, quality, and productivity, this is an opportunity to lead a high-performing fabrication team in a fast-paced sheet metal environment. You’ll oversee shop floor operations, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure production goals are met while maintaining strong team engagement.
What You’ll Do
Supervise shop floor personnel in compliance with company policies and safety regulations
Ensure adherence to quality standards and lead corrective actions when needed
Manage daily production schedules and allocate resources to meet on-time delivery (OTD), quality, and productivity goals
Support new product introductions and ongoing process improvements
Oversee employee scheduling, training, coaching, and performance development
Drive safety compliance and reinforce lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S and SYNCHRO principles
Forecast departmental needs and assist with hiring and equipment planning
What You’ll Bring
Supervisory experience within a manufacturing or sheet metal environment (required)
Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Schedule & Pay
Training/Overlap on 1st Shift : 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Permanent Schedule: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Salary Range: $86,000 – $123,000 annually (DOE)
