CNC Machinist – EDM / Tooling (2nd Shift)
Location: Farmington, CT
2nd Shift 3:30pm - 12:00am (Monday–Friday + OT as needed)
MUST be able to train on 1st shift 7am to 3:30 pm
Pay: $ 28 - 40 per hour based on experience (15 % shift differential once on 2nd)

Position Overview
KELLY is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong EDM experience to support the production of high-precision tooling components including punches, strippers, and dies. This role involves setup, operation, programming, and process improvement in a fast-paced tooling environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines, EDM equipment, and related tooling systems
Interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions to complete production orders
Create and edit CNC programs, including adjustments to feeds and speeds
Perform initial production runs where processes, fixtures, and methods are being developed
Troubleshoot machining and EDM process issues and implement corrective actions
Manufacture precision tooling components such as punches, strippers, and dies
Use precision measurement tools to ensure quality and tight tolerances
Support continuous improvement of production processes and tooling methods
Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles
Perform preventive maintenance tasks as part of TPM programs
Follow all safety procedures and participate in required training
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience (EDM, milling, turning, or grinding)
Strong EDM experience preferred (wire or sinker)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with CNC programming and machine setup
Proficient with precision measuring tools and inspection methods
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment
High school diploma or equivalent required
