Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented and can provide accounting expertise while supporting key financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining efficiency in month-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, maintaining accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure financial data integrity.
• Support the implementation of Sage Intacct from an accounting perspective, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Evaluate and refine the Chart of Accounts to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
• Generate financial reports and analyze data to assist in decision-making processes.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with audits, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Leverage Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and report preparation.
Requirements
• Proven experience in month-end close procedures and account reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct (including participation in prior implementations) and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prepare and review journal entries with precision.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and related documentation.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
