Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility. You will be responsible for analyzing and resolving electrical problems, troubleshooting and continuously improving analog/digital electronic control systems, PLC programming, HMI systems, and computer network communications.
Responsibilities
Analyze and resolve electrical problems.
Troubleshoot and improve electronic control systems, including PLC programming and HMI systems.
Document and implement work order procedures for new equipment and system modifications.
Install and maintain process control instruments, both pneumatic and electronic.
Repair, calibrate, and clean instruments, pressure switches, flow tubes, and gauges.
Maintain process flow ensuring proper machine settings and speeds.
Monitor key process points and maintain records for compliance with established standards.
Troubleshoot line performance issues and assist in corrections.
Install, adjust, and repair processing equipment according to specifications.
Maintain equipment using a Planned Maintenance Program.
Ensure employee safety by monitoring compliance with safety procedures.
Oversee strict observance of all safety rules and exercise caution around machinery.
Maintain general housekeeping of maintenance and production areas.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Essential Skills
Maintenance and mechanical repair expertise.
Electrical wiring knowledge.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Two-year certificate from a college or technical school, or six to twelve months of related experience and/or training.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment
Work in a food production facility with a controlled environment, requiring hair nets, beard nets, and boot coverings. The team consists of approximately 6-10 people, focusing on canning foods.

This is a Permanent position based out of FARIBAULT, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $68000.00/yr.

Tuition reimbursement for relevant schooling/training to the field
For the Holiday Schedule all days listed are paid without needing to use any PTO. The plant shutdown varies each year based on when the holidays fall but it is always Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day is our shutdown time. President’s Day this year was our floating holiday so that is not always the same.
For the medical premiums the cost does drop for the following year if they do the biometric screen in October at our on-site wellness fair. That information is listed on page 13 in the benefit guide.
There is a wellness program that employees can earn anywhere from $75-$150 based on how many points they earn throughout the year and is paid out to them early January of the following year.
Fitness Club reimbursement program that after 8 visits in one calendar month we reimburse $20 to help with gym membership fees and we provide a discount on fitness tracking devices (fitbit) the company will pay up to $30 on your first purchase of a fitbit whether the purchase is made through the client or if the employee purchases one on their own. client offers company paid life insurance, long term and short term disability, and 401K plans that Faribault Foods, Inc. matches %50 of employee contributions up to %6.
Employees are eligible for all benefits at 60 days except 401K employees are eligible at 90 days.
