Butler Ag Ag Operations Manager in Fargo, North Dakota
At Butler, we build long-term relationships founded on trust—creating mutual growth and success for our customers, our teams, and our communities. We’re looking for an Ag Operations Manager to help translate our Ag growth strategy into consistent, high-quality sales execution across all dealership locations.
This role is ideal for a sales operations or enablement leader who thrives on influencing outcomes, coaching through leaders, and improving sales outcomes, without managing individual deals or team members. You will help store teams deliver consistent value while driving profitable growth for the business.
At Butler, you’ll be part of a team that values integrity, accountability, collaboration, and excellence. This role plays a critical part in helping our Ag business grow profitably while supporting Store Managers and sales teams in delivering consistent value to customers.
We’re committed to creating an environment where people can do meaningful work, grow their careers, and make an impact.
Responsibilities:
As the Ag Operations Manager, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to Store Managers and field sales teams, ensuring disciplined, consistent execution of the Ag Sales Funnel System across all locations.
Key responsibilities include:
Owning the deployment and ongoing operation of the Ag Sales Funnel, including stages, exit criteria, and usage expectations.
Partnering with Store Managers to strengthen sales cadence, activity discipline, and deal-quality coaching.
Leading structured funnel reviews and deal inspections to improve win rates, shorten sales cycles, and increase forecast accuracy.
Providing forward-looking visibility into pipeline health, risks, and opportunities, including stalled deals and aging inventory.
Translating Ag strategy, inventory priorities, and seasonal plans into clear, actionable behaviors for the field.
Collaborating closely with Regional Operations, Ag Program Managers, Sales Process/PMO partners, and Inventory Control to ensure alignment.
Using data, KPIs, and CRM insights to drive consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement across stores.
This role requires regular travel (up to 25%) to dealership locations to build strong, trust-based relationships and support field execution.
This role does not directly manage sales representatives. Execution authority remains with Store Managers and Regional Operations, while this role succeeds by clarifying expectations, removing friction, and enabling teams to win.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Agriculture, Operations, Sales, or a related field
5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales enablement, or commercial process roles
Strong experience with CRM systems, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management
Proven ability to influence, coach, and drive consistently across multiple locations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the agriculture equipment industry or multi-location field sales environments
Master’s degree or certifications in sales operations, CRM administration, or process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
Completion of the Lead yourself program is recommended for internal applicants.
