The Opportunity
We are actively seeking a painter for the manufacturing floor to set up, operate, or tend machines to coat or paint manufactured sheet metal products with paint, epoxy, or rust-proofing materials using a wide variety of colors.
Responsibilities
Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary.
Wash & prepare product before the painting process. Preparation may include, Sand blasting,
Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections, or by using
Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to
Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products with such materials as paint, epoxy, rust
Turn dials, hand wheels, valves, or switches to regulate air pressure and circulation, and the flow or
Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas, using water, solvents and other cleaning aids.
Attach hoses or nozzles to machines, using wrenches and make adjustments to obtain the proper
Place items or products on feed racks, spindles, or reel strands to coat, paint, or spray them, using hands, hoists, or truck lifts.
Mark and/or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma
One to two years related experience preferred.
Valid Driver’s License
Computer literate
Microsoft Office
