Assignment Overview
A school in Fall River is seeking experienced and compassionate School Aides/Paraprofessionals/Behavior Technicians to support its K–5 Intensive Program, which includes 11 self-contained classrooms. This program serves students with significant support needs and requires staff who are confident working in a structured, behavior-focused educational setting.
Students in the program may be:
Non-verbal or minimally verbal
Using alternative or augmentative communication (AAC) devices
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Students may also exhibit behaviors such as non-compliance, aggression, and elopement.
Previous school-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience is required for this role. Candidates should be comfortable implementing behavior interventions in a classroom environment and collaborating with school staff to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct student support in 1:1 and small-group settings
Implement behavior support plans and assist with academic instruction using ABA principles
Collect, track, and document behavioral and progress data
Support students with toileting and diapering needs as required
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
