Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Paraprofessional to support a kindergarten student at Silvia Elementary School . The student has experienced periods of dysregulation, and this role is crucial in providing consistent, individualized support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support to a kindergarten student in a school setting
Assist with the implementation of an individualized Behavior Support Plan
Collect and document behavioral data as directed
Collaborate with school staff and follow guidance provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Support the student’s safety, engagement, and success in the classroom environment
Support & Training
A BCBA will provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure success in the role
No electronic charting system required
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
