This is for an Extended School Year (ESY) program and is considered a BOCES ESY position.

LOCATION OF POSITION:Fairport NY 14450; eSTART - CW Building in Henrietta
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 9, 2026 - August 19, 2026; Part Time . Hours: 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM. For all BOCES Programs Pre and Post summer trainings and set-up as directed.
Mandatory Summer Set-Up Meetings:
June 2nd= Transition/Employment
June 3rd = O'Connor Academy, eStart, Creekside (BPA Unit + TES Staff)
June 10th = Creekside (BUP Unit), Bird/Morgan
SALARY RANGE: $21.73 - $34.01 per hour (or higher pending contract negotiations) or your 2026-27 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff
*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
DUTIES:
Provide instructional services to students under the general supervision of a licensed or certified teacher.
Assist classroom teacher in implementation of Individualized Education Plans for students exhibiting significant communication, learning and behavioral disabilities.
Adapt and implement classroom lessons and activities under the supervision of the teacher.
Work cooperatively with staff, administration and consultants to implement and monitor Individual Behavior Plans.
Communicate effectively with the team including classroom teachers, other professional staff and parents.
Collect data and provide input to the behavioral specialist and classroom team.
Accompany students to and from all areas outside of the classroom (swimming, riding the bus, etc.).
Plan and implement daily activities.
Assist with maintaining record-keeping.
Assist students in communicating utilizing adaptive communication devices.
Attend staffing meetings and training before and after school as needed.
Attend training specific to students.
Support students in work programs.
Other duties as determined by the classroom teacher or Building administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certificate or willingness to obtain certification.
Experience working with students with behavioral/emotional disabilities and developmental disabilities preferred.
College level work in education preferred.
Training in individual and classroom management systems.
Training in Life Space Interventions/SCIP-R/TCI/CPI or similar systems.
Applicants must commit to working the full 30-day Summer Program.
Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation) including, but not limited to:
Ability to use approved physical intervention techniques when necessary
Lifting and/or carrying
Standing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, and/or reaching, walking, running, and/or escorting students in multiple settings.
