Responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves reviewing project plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, sourcing material and labor costs, and collaborating with project managers, suppliers, and General Contractors to ensure successful bid submissions. Key Responsibilities ? Review blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to understand scope and requirements ? Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials (brick, block, stone, mortar, etc.) ? Prepare accurate cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing ? Solicit and evaluate bids from vendors ? Analyze project risks, site conditions, and timelines ? Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals ? Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software ? Work closely with project managers to support project handoff and budgeting ? Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed ? Track and analyze historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy
