Actalent QC LIMS Specialist in Fairfield, New Jersey
Job Title: QC LIMS Specialist
Description / Responsibilities
Support day‑to‑day laboratory operations with a focus on data integrity, quality, and regulatory compliance across multiple laboratory workflows.
Ensure scientific accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., RCRA, QC, and internal SOPs) while optimizing lab processes and system performance.
Administer, support, and maintain LIMS applications and integrations, including instrument interfaces and automated data transfers.
Design, enhance, and maintain SQL Server database systems to support laboratory data storage, retrieval, and reporting needs.
Develop, customize, and maintain management dashboards and analytical reports using Crystal Reports and Microsoft Access.
Create and deliver customized Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) in CSV, tab‑delimited, and Excel formats to meet internal, client, and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot, enhance, and maintain Microsoft Access databases, including VBA code used for automation, reporting, and data validation.
Provision, install, configure, and maintain laboratory computer systems, peripherals, and supporting infrastructure to ensure system reliability and security.
Develop, maintain, and update regulatory and compliance reporting formats to support audits, inspections, and ongoing quality initiatives.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with laboratory scientists, quality teams, and IT to implement system enhancements and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of hands‑on experience with Clinisys Element LIMS (version 6 or 7).
Strong technical expertise in SQL databases, reporting tools (Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access), and system configuration.
Experience working in regulated laboratory environments with a strong emphasis on data integrity and compliance.
Ability to translate laboratory and regulatory requirements into technical solutions and system enhancements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $58.00/hr.
