Entry-Level Assembly Technician (Cleanroom Manufacturing)
Location: Fairfield, CT
Schedule: Compressed Work Week (CWW) – Days & Nights Available

What You’ll DoAssembly & Production
Assemble mechanical and electrical components following work instructions, drawings, and bills of materials
Perform detailed, repetitive assembly work with a strong focus on quality
Use hand tools, fixtures, and equipment correctly and safely
Complete builds from sub-assembly through final assembly
Testing & Inspection
Perform basic functional testing and visual inspections
Identify and report defects, assembly errors, or missing components
Support rework and repairs as needed
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Follow safety, quality, and cleanroom procedures at all times
Document issues and assist with root-cause investigations
Participate in Lean, 5S, and process improvement activities
Team Support
Work closely with technicians, leads, and engineers on the production floor
Ask questions, learn best practices, and contribute to team goals
Support production schedules and daily build priorities
Who This Role Is For
This is an entry-level assembly role, ideal for candidates at the start of their manufacturing careers.
Required Skills
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands
Ability to follow detailed written instructions and drawings
Experience using basic hand tools
Strong attention to detail and quality
Willingness to learn and work in a cleanroom environment
Nice-to-Have (Not Required)
Assembly, manufacturing, or production experience
Trade school, vocational training, or technical certification
Blueprint or schematic reading
Basic electrical or electronic assembly
Familiarity with Lean or 5S environments
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Trade school, technical program, or associate degree preferred
Equivalent hands-on manufacturing or assembly experience considered
Training & ScheduleTraining
Paid training provided
Initial training occurs on 2nd or 3rd shift for approximately 4–6 weeks
No prior cleanroom experience required
Compressed Work Week – Night Shift
12-hour shifts: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
15% night shift differential
Built-in overtime
CWW N1 Shift
Week 1: Sunday–Tuesday
Week 2: Sunday–Wednesday (every other Wednesday)
CWW N2 Shift
Week 1: Wednesday–Saturday
Week 2: Thursday–Saturday (+ every other Wednesday)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
