We're partnering with a school district in Fairfield County, Connecticut to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time, in-person role supporting students with social-emotional and behavioral needs in a structured, supportive classroom environment.
Position Details: Location: In-person, Fairfield County, CT
Hours: Monday-Friday, full-time
Schedule: Follows school district calendar
School Year: 2025-2026
Responsibilities:
Implement IEP goals, behavior intervention plans, and SEL-focused instruction
Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
Experience working with middle school students preferred
Background supporting students with social-emotional and behavioral needs
Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
