Location: Fairfield County, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job type: 6 contract
Pay Rate: $24–$28/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented Production Planners to develop and manage production schedules while coordinating across departments to ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement production plans based on forecasts and customer demand
Create and manage production schedules aligned with resource availability and inventory objectives
Review MRP outputs and release work orders to meet demand and inventory targets
Identify and resolve exceptions in demand or production schedules
Coordinate with Buyers to support timely procurement of raw materials and components
Maintain clear communication with Production and Operations teams to ensure alignment
Track and maintain accurate production records for reporting and audit purposes
Prepare and publish production schedules (weekly, monthly, quarterly) as required
Maintain and update procedures in accordance with business system requirements
Collaborate with global planning teams to manage and adjust safety stock levels
Ensure adequate inventory coverage across all distribution centers
Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
HS Diploma or G.E.D
Experience in manufacturing production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations preferred
Familiarity with MRP systems and inventory management
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
