Aerotek Machine Operator in Fairfield, California

Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay: $25/hr

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm; Monday - Friday (occasional OT)



Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to support high-volume bottling and packaging operations. This role involves operating automated equipment that forms, fills, boxes, and palletizes empty bottles, ensuring consistent quality and efficient production flow.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated machinery that loads empty bottles, forms boxes, and palletizes finished cases.

  • Run shrink-wrap and packaging equipment to secure pallets for storage and shipment.

  • Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and perform basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

  • Adjust machine settings, clear jams, and complete minor mechanical fixes as needed.

  • Conduct routine equipment checks and communicate maintenance needs promptly.

  • Inspect bottles, packaging materials, and finished pallets for quality and accuracy.

  • Maintain accurate production counts, labels, and documentation.

  • Follow all safety, GMP, and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with operational procedures.

  • Collaborate with production leads, maintenance teams, and other operators to meet daily output goals.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as a Machine Operator in a bottling, packaging, or manufacturing facility.

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs.

  • Familiarity with palletizers, conveyors, shrink-wrap machines, or similar automated systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a high-volume production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience with machine operation and packaging.

  • Skills in troubleshooting and maintenance repair.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
