Program Manager (Space Electronic Systems)
Job Description
The Program Manager will directly manage one or more flight programs, ensuring customer satisfaction, execution to cost and schedule, risk management, and delivery of high-quality products. The manager will coordinate with key functional areas such as Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Finance to ensure effective planning and execution of their programs. Additionally, they will mentor other PMO members and operate as part of a team to ensure the overall success of the business unit.
Responsibilities
Manage cost, schedule, risk, and customer interface for flight programs.
Collaborate with a Lead Systems Engineer who will manage technical execution.
Mentor other Project Managers.
Lead the development of space hardware programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 9+ years, or graduate degree and 7+ years, of applicable experience
Experience in managing government programs of a technical nature including FAR-based contracts with multiple CLINs
Financial management and planning experience
Working knowledge of Government contract types (including OTA and FAR based)
Experience managing product development programs, including design, development, procurement, prototype, and production elements
Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering (preferred)
Space electronic systems experience (preferred)
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (preferred)
PMP Certification, or the ability to obtain within 6-months of starting employment (preferred)
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work environment ideally in Fairfax, with the possibility of a remote candidate who can travel 30-50%. Systems engineers are assigned one or more programs at a time for which they are responsible. This role provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, R&D environment with product development cycles ranging from 8-12 months. The organization is medium-sized, with a flat structure and comprised of highly technical-minded engineers focused on solving customer problems.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fairfax, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $200000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
- 6% 401k contribution - 4 weeks PTO - 7 holidays, with company shutdown Dec. 25th-31st
