MEP Specialist 1
Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Superintendent with expertise in the electrical field, particularly relating to Data Centers. This position requires strong computer skills and familiarity with switchgears and UPS systems. The role involves traveling between project locations in Dallas, Atlanta GA, Northern VA, Mississippi, and Chicago.
Responsibilities
Thoroughly understand project schedules and overall scope.
Assist in maintaining the project schedule daily through Touch plan.
Collaborate with the Project Scheduler to develop progress schedules, such as the 2-week look-ahead schedule, alongside the Project Manager.
Prepare and distribute daily logs on Procore.
Assist in coordinating and scheduling necessary inspections.
Prepare agendas for regular construction meetings.
Enforce site safety, security, and visitor access protocols.
Ensure quality and workmanship of finished products.
Develop and maintain a Site Utilization plan.
Maintain a phone log.
Prepare pre-punch list items.
Work with the Project Site Engineer to load all pertinent project information on Procore.
Provide site safety training and enforce safety compliance on the project site.
Conduct weekly tool talks.
Secure any necessary hot work permits for the project.
Essential Skills
Experience with Data Centers.
Ability to lead teams.
Very strong computer skills, particularly in electrical construction.
Project management and troubleshooting expertise.
Proficiency in commercial construction, Procore, OSHA compliance, mechanical systems, and substation operations.
Blueprint reading and subcontractor management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Electrical background (preferred).
Experience as a site supervisor or in a management role.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to read and interpret schedules.
Strong communication skills.
Data center background (beneficial but not required).
Willingness to travel (helpful but not required).
Strong safety attitude.
7-10 years of experience.
Work Environment
This position requires on-site work across various locations, including Northern VA, Dallas TX, Atlanta GA, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Mississippi. The candidate will be expected to travel between these sites. Benefits include a year-long contract with potential for extension, comprehensive health benefits, a 401k plan, 2 weeks of PTO, dental and vision coverage, a $60 cell phone reimbursement, 10 paid holidays, and coverage for travel and expenses.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/hr.
