Position Overview The Riverside Research Information Technology (IT) team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to support teams within the company that deploy software products to Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) networks. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting internal teams in automating and optimizing their operations, processes, and improving deployment strategies. This includes leveraging strong Linux administration skills to manage, maintain, and secure the underlying infrastructure supporting our CI/CD pipelines and production environments. This position is located at our Fairborn, OH office. Responsibilities Implementing, maintaining, and hardening Linux servers and virtual machines that host CI/CD tools and production environments, ensuring high availability and security compliance. Facilitating and executing software product deployments by collaborating with developers Monitoring operations and applications, including using Linux-based logging and monitoring tools to diagnose and resolve performance issues. Assisting in automating and optimizing delivery and deployment of software products via Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Working/coordinating with multiple platform teams (i.e., customer, commercial, and company internal) Helping product road map planning by communicating delivery and deployment dependencies and timelines Helping orchestrate product integration with an emphasis on providing proactive identification and resolution of product dependencies and conflicts Providing Tier 2 support for a VMware based environment that includes both Linux and Windows machines in distributed classified computer environments Act as the liaison between the customer and IT management Develop new and maintain existing installation and configuration procedures Working knowledge installing, upgrading, and configuring hardware and software Apply security updates/patches to Linux and Windows operation systems Remediate monthly compliance scans Repair and recover from hardware or software failures Assist with management of communication security accounts and related devices Coordinate with tier 3 functional roles within the information technology team as needed Coordinate and communicate all significant information technology changes/outages with the appropriate parties such as the customer, management, and information security Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Seeking candidate with 5-7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or other related field of study Secret clearance DoD 8140 - Intermediate Certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent). Strong, verifiable experience in Linux system administration, including configuration, patching, user management, and security hardening (e.g., DISA STIGs). Experience with or on Linux or Unix based OS systems using common UNIX/Linux to
