Position Purpose
Responsible for inspecting heating and weatherization upgrades on residential dwellings. Assure materials are installed correctly, performing as intended and installed in a safe manner. Review scope of work completed on home to assure energy saving items were identified and appropriate work completed. Assist crew with testing and solutions to technical problems such as pressure problems. Evaluate crews for production, quality and client satisfaction during inspections. Question clients to assure they understand the benefits of work completed and satisfied with the weatherization program. Field inspects trouble calls to determine appropriate action to take to resolve issue.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
q
Review scope of work for relevance to promoting safe, healthy, durable and energy efficient housing
q
Verify materials ordered are used on project
q
Verify all work agreed to is completed
q
Accurate and clear inspection documentation
q
Communicate with client to foster positive project for client
q
Educate clients on upgrades and purpose of items installed
q
Instruct and provide hands on demonstrations of future maintenance for clients
q
Travel as required for both completing work and training
q
Maintain accurate time sheets for self
q
Initiate callbacks when required with clear, accurate directions supported by pictures.
q
Create purchase orders for all materials needed for callbacks initiated.
q
Download inspection pictures into client folder on computer (within 24hrs of inspection).
q
Review all work, testing and paperwork for compliance with grant guidelines
q
Conduct final diagnostic testing of dwelling as required

Combustion testing

Review AKwarms
q
Assist Crew with problem homes, technical assistance as required
q
Complete assessments as required (fill-in for assessor)
q
Complete in progress job inspections for quality, crew efficiency and crew management as instructed.
