Denali Performance Coatings Inside/Outside Sales Representative in Fairbanks, Alaska
Position Summary
The Inside/Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth through a combination of in-store customer service and proactive field sales. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with automotive body shops, industrial accounts, and fleet customers while delivering expert product knowledge and solutions.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and motivated to grow both new and existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Outside Sales Duties
- Develop and manage a designated sales territory, including regular in-person visits to customers.
- Prospect and secure new business within automotive, fleet, and industrial segments.
- Maintain strong relationships with body shops, industrial accounts, and fleet customers
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical guidance on all PPG products and sundries.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate paint systems and refinishing solutions.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Inside Sales and Store Support
- Assist walk-in customers with product selection, technical advice, and order processing.
- Prepare quotes, mix automotive and industrial paints accurately
- Work with the team on coordinating deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Support inventory management, including stocking, cycle counts, and freight put-away.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience is preferred (automotive, industrial, or coatings industry strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of automotive refinishing products, industrial coatings, or related equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively in-store.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, CRM, email).
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs as needed.
