The UAF Community and Technical College is hiring for a Cashier and Student Services Specialist. This position supports students, faculty, and staff by providing accurate information on university processes and policies. The role requires the ability to navigate multiple systems, interpret procedures, and manage student and financial information with attention to detail. The successful candidate will ensure accurate use of university forms and processes while supporting efficient operations.
This position serves as a front-line student services and primary point of contact for UAF CTC. It provides support to students, faculty, and staff by assisting with admissions, registration, financial processes, and navigating university systems. The role works closely with campus partners and ensures compliance with FERPA and university policies while supporting overall student success.
To thrive in this role you should be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential. A customer-service mindset and experience with administrative systems will help you succeed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree and two years relevant experience (minimum of one year prior office experience), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAF Community and Technical College campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and
full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the
UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
