All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box A.3 & A.4. Workers are needed to raise and\ care for our honeybees. The worker will build and maintain beehives, extract and bottle honey, remove hive parasites and maintain the health of the hive. Workers will assemble beehives to the desired specifications, force\ bees from a hive using a smoke pot to inspect the hive, destroy excess queen bee cells to prevent the division of a colony, treat hives for parasites and remove vermin, extracting honey from beehive frames. Workers will also\ cultivate queen bees to sell to other apiaries as well as split colonies. Workers will perform other farm-related duties such as carpentry and other basic woodworking tasks. Workers must be able to work in various extreme\ weather conditions from damp and cold spring and fall days to hot and humid summer days. Work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop, as well as kneeling or work on knees during specified tasks\ for extended periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers may operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm)\ to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer\'s fields); and/or transport workers to the\ grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Workers that are requested to drive will be required to possess a valid drivers license; no worker will be rejected for not having a driver\'s license. Workers who\ do drive will still perform the same field work and other duties as non-driving workers; driving is not a primary duty. Work will start in South Carolina on March 1, 2026. While the workers are in South Carolina they will make\ AEWR skill level 2 wage, fifteen dollars and ninety-two cents (\$15.92) per hour. Workers will travel to Vermont on May 4, 2026. Workers will work in Vermont and New York until the end of the work period listed in box A.4.\ The remainder of the work will then be divided between these two states with approximately 75% time spent in New York and 25% time spent in Vermont. Work hours in each state may be split on a daily to weekly basis,\ depending on the local conditions and needs. While in Vermont workers will make AEWR skill level 2 pay of nineteen dollars and twenty-three cents (\$19.23) per hour and while in New York workers will make the AEWR skill\ level 2 pay of eighteen dollars and seventy-five cents (\$18.75). The employer will provide 1 day of training and allow 2 days of work for the workers to satisfactorily perform duties described in this job description. Workers\ may be required to work 7 hours shift between the hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm from Monday through Friday. The workers should be available to work on Saturday if needed. Employer will furnish all tools and equipment\ required at no cost to workers. Workers get a 30-minute Lunch break which is staggered between 11am to 1pm as decided by the workers. The workers will return to work after their 30 minutes are up. The beginning and\ ending times will vary depending on the weather conditions. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English
