Ranpak Supply Chain Controller in EYGELSHOVEN, Netherlands
Description
Your Impact as a Plant Controller
You will be the financial backbone of our manufacturing operations. You will monitor production orders, analyze material consumption, and manage inventory valuation. With your sharp analysis of cost prices and variances, you will help the organization to streamline processes and control costs. You will report to the Senior Plant Controller and work closely with the EMEA Finance team, operations, and our corporate headquarters in the US.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering: Act as the financial conscience and sparring partner for the operational teams; you are visible and approachable for everyone, from forklift drivers to management.
Cost Control: Execute the month-end closing for manufacturing accounting, analyze variances between standard and actual costs, and identify their root causes.
Analysis & Reporting: Analyze production-related data, prepare variance reports, and develop cost standards for materials, labor, and overhead.
Process Optimization: Take ownership of the SAP Finance Inventory master data and contribute to improving the accuracy of Bills of Material (BOMs) and routings.
Inventory Management: Perform inventory valuations, assist during physical inventory counts, and ensure accurate reconciliations.
Compliance & Audits: Support internal and external audits (SOX), which provides high visibility within the global organization.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate is a financial professional who understands and breathes the dynamics of a factory. The combination of SAP knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment is the key to success for us.
Crucial Experience: A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar role (e.g., Cost Controller, Production Controller, Factory Controller) within a manufacturing/production environment.
System Knowledge: Deep, hands-on experience with SAP is an absolute must.
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Economics or a related field. A background in Industrial Engineering with relevant financial experience is also highly welcome.
Analytical Skills: You possess strong data analysis skills (including Excel), have a keen eye for detail, and can interpret complex datasets.
Communication: You communicate effortlessly at all levels of the organization, in both Dutch and English.
Mentality: You are proactive, solution-oriented, and have a hands-on mentality. Structure and documentation are second nature to you in a SOX-driven environment.
Flexibility: You are willing to travel to our production site in Czechia approximately once every other month (a valid driver's license is required).
