Ranpak Electrical E-Plan Engineer in EYGELSHOVEN, Netherlands

Description

Your role as Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at Ranpak, you are responsible for designing, improving and maintaining the electrical systems of our automated packaging machines. You will join a dedicated engineering team, working on both standard and customer-specific solutions.

You play a key role in the customization of our equipment, collaborating closely with colleagues from R&D, Sales, Quality and Purchasing. Your focus lies on E-plan design, panel building and system integration. You work on electrical documentation, safety compliance (CE), and provide technical support during the full machine lifecycle – from design to installation and service.

In this role, you’ll also contribute to the continuous improvement of our machines and internal processes. You provide input from the field, support testing procedures, and occasionally visit customers in Europe for troubleshooting or technical feedback.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and work from our location in Heerlen. Hybrid work is possible (1–2 days from home).

Due to the upcoming departure of our current Electrical Engineer, we’re looking to fill this critical position soon. You will work closely with him remotely for the first two months during handover.

Your profile

You are an experienced Electrical Engineer with a practical mindset and a structured way of working. You take ownership, think in solutions, and enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams.

You bring solid technical expertise and know how to translate customer requirements into first-time-right designs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (HBO level)

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in machine or panel building

  • Strong E-plan skills (required)

  • Experience with automation and industrial systems

  • Knowledge of CE regulations and electrical safety standards

  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)

  • A proactive, communicative team player

  • Willing to travel occasionally within Europe

  • A hybrid working model (up to 2 days remote)

  • An international work environment with room for growth

  • A key role in a company focused on automation and sustainability
