This is a hybrid position requiring the team member to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
Job Summary
The Senior Director, Pricing & Quoting is responsible for leading the enterprise pricing strategy across the full product portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives, profitability goals, and market positioning. This individual will develop and oversee global pricing governance frameworks, design value-based pricing models, and drive data-driven decision-making to optimize margins and revenue. By conducting comprehensive market and competitive analysis, the job holder will identify opportunities and guide strategic pricing decisions. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, to embed pricing excellence across planning and go-to-market activities. In addition, the role will establish key performance indicators, monitor pricing effectiveness, ensure regulatory compliance, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives. As a leadership position, it also involves building and developing a high-performing pricing team to sustain long-term organizational success. #LI-CT1
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Own the enterprise pricing strategy for the full product portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives, profitability targets, and market positioning
Develop and maintain pricing governance frameworks that establish clear decision rights, approval processes, and compliance standards across global markets
Pricing Strategy & Execution
Design and implement pricing models and methodologies that reflect customer value, competitive dynamics, and cost structures, leveraging advanced analytics and scenario modeling
Lead annual and quarterly pricing reviews to adjust strategies based on market trends, regulatory changes, and business performance
Market & Competitive Analysis
Conduct in-depth market research and competitive benchmarking to identify pricing opportunities, risks, and emerging trends
Translate insights into actionable recommendations for portfolio optimization, margin improvement, and revenue growth
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to integrate pricing strategies into business planning, product launches, and go-to-market initiatives
Influence senior leadership decisions by presenting data-driven pricing recommendations and impact assessments
Performance Management
Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor pricing effectiveness, profitability, and compliance across regions and product lines
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data and implementing best practices in pricing governance and execution
Risk & Compliance
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls related to pricing, discounting, and contractual terms
Mitigate financial and reputational risks through robust governance and audit processes
Leadership & Team Development
Build and lead a high-performing pricing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration
Provide mentorship and professional development to team members, ensuring capability growth in pricing analytics and strategy
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or equivalent experience
Master’s degree (MBA) preferred
Work Experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in pricing strategy or revenue management
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Leadership roles within global B2B manufacturing environment
Expertise in pricing methodologies, analytics, and ERP systems (SAP)
Proficiency in Excel and BI tools; Experience with pricing software and AI-driven solutions
Proven track record of leading pricing initiatives and driving profitable growth in diverse markets
Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare manufacturing sectors
Familiarity with Revenue Growth Management principles and pricing optimization software
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills with a proven ability to influence senior executives and drive results
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Global mindset with experience managing strategies across multiple regions
Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, market dynamics, and competitive pricing strategies
Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
License and Certifications
- Certified Pricing Professional (CPP)
Travel Requirements
20%: Up to 52 business days per year
Physical Requirements
