The objective of the role:

Based in Export, Pennsylvania, the position of our Manufacturing Engineer is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the Export industrial facility. This involves optimizing production processes, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing safety protocols. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining equipment used in various stages of product manufacturing. In addition, they will conduct process analyses, initiate corrective actions for process deviations, and develop preventive maintenance programs. Their work will directly support the plant's ability to meet production targets and maintain a high level of operational performance.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will oversee floor operations, lead maintenance and projects, troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvement solutions.  You need to have good knowledge of tool design, PLC controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and fabrication methods. Other necessary manufacturing engineer skills include project management ability, commitment to quality, and familiarity with safety and environmental standards. Ultimately, you'll be the one to ensure our production lines work efficiently and effectively to satisfy our customers.

Key Responsibilities

·         Oversee Operations: Manage the plant manufacturing equipment, ensuring that all equipment and machinery function smoothly and efficiently.

·         Maintenance Management: Develop, implement, and lead preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

·         Process Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

·         Project Management: Lead capital engineering projects, including scope definition, budgeting, installation, and commissioning of new systems and equipment.

·         Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analyses on equipment failures and implements corrective actions to prevent future issues.

·         Safety Compliance: Ensure that all operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, implementing safety protocols to minimize accidents. Working with Safety coordinator maintaining environmental requirements and regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and resolve technical challenges, supporting the plant's ability to meet production targets.

Requirements and skills

·         Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role

·         Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design

·         Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques

·         Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations

·         Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office. PLC controls)

·         Project management skills

·         Problem-solving ability

·         Teamwork skills

·         Ability to occasionally work late shifts

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.

·         At least three to f ve years of engineering experience required.

Physical Requirements:

·         Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·         Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

·         Must be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery
